Bob Sluder was elected to the Board of Directors in June 2007. He held the position of president of Alaska Gas Transmission Company from December 2003 until his retirement in December of 2005. In addition he served as president of Kern River Gas Transmission Company a position he has held since February 2002. Formerly Mr. Sluder was senior vice president and general manager of Williams’ Gas Pipeline Systems in Salt Lake City. He previously served as vice president Williams Operations; senior vice president and general manager of Kern River; director Operations for Kern River; director Engineering for Williams Natural Gas Company; and manager Project Pipeline Engineering. Mr. Sluder started at Northwest Pipeline Corporation in 1981 as a senior engineer. Throughout his more than 30-year career Mr. Sluder has held a variety of engineering and construction management positions with such firms as The Bechtel Corporation and H.C. Price Construction Company. He spent five years working in Alaska on projects ranging from the Trans-Alaska Pipeline System to the Prudhoe Bay FMX expansion to municipal utility pipelines and petroleum infrastructure. Mr. Sluder earned a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Utah and is a licensed professional engineer. |
