Mr. Marshall is one of the most accomplished and respected senior executives in Silicon Valley having founded multiple industry leading technology companies over the past 40 years. He has a knack for picking the diamond out of the rough, whether that be an entrepreneur or new start up. Mr. Marshall co-founded Selby and led its investments in 3ware, Fabric7, Hotrail, OnSite, and Silicon Packets, among others.
After starting his career as an engineer at Lawrence Livermore Laboratory, Mr. Marshall was a co-founder and COO of Tandem Computers, a company he helped grow from its inception to over $2.3 billion in annual revenues before it was sold to Compaq for $3 billion. At Tandem, Mr. Marshall oversaw more than 10,000 employees worldwide, and was also responsible for the Company's corporate venture investments. Later, Mr. Marshall was a Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Infogear Technology, an Internet telephony start-up, which was backed by NEA. The Company was later acquired by Cisco Systems for $300 million.
Bob has a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering from Heald Engineering, and received his MBA from Pepperdine University. In his off hours, he enjoys traveling, hacking away at golf, fine wines, and spending time with family and friends. |
