Bob Kavner is a private investor and has been active since 1995 as a venture capital investor and board member of several technology-related companies including EarthLink, idealab!, Ticketmaster-CitySearch, Ironport Systems, Jupiter Media Metrix, Overture Services, Vendare Media and Pandaora. Kavner became a Director of SHOP.COM in April 2005.Kavner is currently the Chairman of the Board for Earthlink, Vendare and Ironport Systems. For two years in the late 1990s, Kavner was CEO of On Command Corporation, a provider of in-room video systems to the lodging industry.From 1984 to 1994, Kavner held a number of senior level positions at AT&T. He was CEO of the Multimedia Products and Services Group and was a member of the Executive Committee of AT&T.Prior to that, he was President of the Data Systems Division and Chairman of the Unix Systems Laboratory. Kavner was Chief Financial Officer of AT&T for his first four years at the company. During the 18 years prior to joining AT&T, Kavner was a Partner in Coopers & Lybrand and was Co-Chairman of the firm's information industry practice.Kavner previously has been a member of the Board of FleetBoston Financial, Sun Microsystems, Olivetti, Philips Telecommunications and Duracell.Kavner attended Adelphi University and received a Bachelor of Science degree in 1965.
