Bob Cooksey has more than 30 years of experience in drilling, completion, re-completion, as well as expertise in the areas of safety, environmental, regulatory, reclamation, and purchasing. He joined Kirkpatrick Oil Company in 2003 and manages the drilling and completion operations, workovers, and all field operations for producing wells on Kirkpatrick’s Oklahoma and Texas properties.
His career began at Halliburton Services. He then joined Viersen & Cochran in Oklahoma City where he served for 18 years as Production Superintendent with responsibility for production and drilling and completing oil and gas wells. He was involved in all phases of the operation of 110 operated and 180 non-operated wells. For several years, Cooksey served as a Field Consultant and provided onsite supervision for drilling and completion for numerous clients in western Oklahoma and the Texas Panhandle.
Cooksey is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers and the Oklahoma City chapter of the American Petroleum Institute. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from Oklahoma State University. He has also completed training at the University of Oklahoma Blowout Prevention School and Halliburton’s Modern Completion Practices School. |
