Leadership for International Finance & Enterprises, LLC Blythe J. McGarvie, a member of Accenture's board of directors since October 2001, is president of Leadership for International Finance & Enterprises, LLC, a firm focusing on improving clients' financial positions and providing leadership seminars for corporate and academic groups. Her firm specializes in providing global perspectives to US and multinational companies, primarily in the consumer goods, financial services and knowledge-based industries. She is the author of Fit In, Stand Out: Mastering the FISO Factor for Leadership Effectiveness in Business and Life, published in Fall 2005.
Prior to founding her firm, Ms. McGarvie was executive vice president and chief financial officer of Bic Group, one of the world's leading manufacturers of convenient disposable products. For five years prior to joining Bic, Ms. McGarvie was senior vice-president and chief financial officer of Hannaford Bros. Co., a supermarket retailer, which was acquired by the DelHaize Group in 1999. She has also held senior financial positions at Sara Lee Corporation and Kraft Foods.
A Certified Public Accountant, Ms. McGarvie holds an M.B.A. degree from Northwestern University's Kellogg Graduate School of Management. She served on the university's board of trustees from 1985 to 1987 and also received the Kellogg Graduate School of Management Schaffner Award, which honors alumni who are pre-eminent in their field and who provide outstanding service to Kellogg. Recently, she was appointed as Senior Fellow of the Kellogg Innovation Network.
Ms. McGarvie currently serves on the boards of The Pepsi Bottling Group, Inc., St. Paul Travelers Companies, Inc. and Lafarge North America.
