Blake was on the Editorial Board of the Loyola Law Review and served as its recent case editor. He ran track while at Loyola and has been inducted into Loyola's Athletic Hall of Fame. Blake has had extensive experience in litigating matters involving a great variety of oil and gas disputes. He has handled negotiation, drafting, and review of complex contracts involving oil and gas transactions. Blake has conducted extensive title examinations of oil and gas properties, acquiring thereby an intimate familiarity with Louisiana property law. From 1970 to 1975, Blake served as City Attorney for the City of New Orleans. Blake is a member of the New Orleans, Louisiana (former Chairman, Mineral Law Section) and American Bar Associations. He is also a retired Lieutenant Commander in the U.S. Naval Reserve. |
