Bill Wedum is responsible for managing the legal affairs of Daniels & Associates, providing legal counsel and maintaining policies and practices to ensure the firm's compliance with federal and state laws. Prior to joining Daniels, Mr. Wedum was senior international counsel at Tele-Communications Inc. (now Liberty Media International). At TCI, he was part of a small management team that structured and negotiated transactions resulting in the acquisition of cable and television programming companies in Argentina, Chile, England and France, as well as TCI's joint venture with Sumitomo in Japan. During the course of his employment, he served on the boards of directors of all TCI companies in South America. Before that, he was executive vice president and general counsel at Boettcher & Co., a regional investment bank and securities broker/dealer in Denver, with oversight responsibilities for all legal matters, including litigation and corporate and public finance. He was also the principal compliance officer. Previously, he worked at the law firm of Ireland, Stapleton, Pryor & Pascoe PC on initial public offerings and venture capital financings. Mr. Wedum earned a B.A. with honors (Phi Beta Kappa), a J.D. from the University of Colorado, and a M.A. from the University of Michigan. |
