Bill Walker oversees a team of 3 Regional Sales Directors and 13 Account Executives. His responsibilities include the development and implementation of the company’s national sales strategy and managing key relationships with executive customers. Bill came to CMG MI in 2005, with nearly two decades of experience in the credit union industry. Previously, he held various positions, including that of Chief Lending Officer at California Credit Union and Financial Partners Credit Union. During his career, Bill has made it his mission to educate credit unions about the value of real estate lending and portfolio management. For nearly three decades, he has worked with Fannie Mae®, Freddie Mac®, Ginnie MaeSM and a variety of private investors in packaging and selling credit union loans to meet secondary market transaction standards. He is recognized throughout the credit union industry as an advocate for building aggressive origination programs balanced by the management of portfolios and sales to investors. Bill has been called the Founding Father of the CUREN (Credit Union Real Estate Network) movement, an important industry forum where credit union professionals can exchange information and network informally. He has been a member of Fannie Mae’s Advisory Council and has also served on the Board of Directors for the American Credit Union Mortgage Association (ACUMA). Bill holds bachelor degrees in Business Management and Business Administration. |
