Bill Torres has been providing services in the public accounting field since 1983. He has extensive consulting and compliance experience in individual, corporate, partnership, limited liability company, fiduciary, and estate taxation at the federal and multistate levels. Bill has also defended these entities before the various authorities. In addition, he has testified as an expert witness in civil litigation matters and has provided attorneys with tax advice to assist in structuring their settlement proposals. He also provides valuation services with an emphasis in divorce and estate matters. Prior to merging with Mendoza Berger LLP, Mr. Torres owned his own firm and managed up to 14 staff for 12 years. He originally developed his accounting and auditing skills at Coopers and Lybrand servicing the manufacturing, financial and retail industries. Later at Kenneth Leventhal & Company, he shifted into the tax arena and assisted clients in all tax aspects of real estate development, operations and deal structuring.
