As Senior Vice President - General Counsel, Bill Squires directs Blackfoot’s legal affairs, including corporate organization, business transactions, financing, and advocacy relating to regulatory and legislative issues. Bill is also responsible for company operations such as strategic development, business planning, and administrative operations, as well as all human resources activities.
BACKGROUND Prior to joining Blackfoot in 2001, Bill served for eight years as its outside General Counsel and Regulatory Special Counsel. He is a former partner in the Helena-based law firm of Squires & Shontz, where he specialized in the legislative and business aspects of telecommunications law. Bill is a 1984 graduate of the Montana College of Mineral Science & Technology and a 1987 honors graduate of the University of Montana School of Law.

Bill enjoys skiing, golfing, and camping with his family, and serves as Assistant Scoutmaster of his son’s Boy Scout troop in Missoula, Montana. Bill is a devoted football fan and a longtime supporter of the University of Montana Grizzlies. |
