Bill Carson is a Managing Director at Hudson Ventures, a New York based private equity firm with over $170 million in capital under management. Mr. Carson focuses on investing in early stage technology companies that are looking to expand. He has a particular interest in enterprise software, wireless, security and financial services type investments. Mr. Carson represents Hudson on the Board of Directors of Integral Development Corp., Dynamic Mobile Data, Pivot Solutions and was responsible for Hudson’s investment in Guardent before it was sold to Verisign. Prior to joining Hudson Ventures in 2002, Mr. Carson was head of Citigroup's Strategic Investment Group, co-founded Citigroup's Technology Investment Fund, served on the Investment Committee for the Smith Barney Opportunity Fund and was a member of the corporation's Internet Operating Group. Some of Mr. Carson's investments have included: Openwave, Netro, WebTV, Micromuse, Quinta, Xaqti, 724 Solutions and Transpoint. In addition to his private equity experience, Mr. Carson previously led Citigroup's internal M&A group and held various other positions within Citigroup's Corporate Bank. Mr. Carson has undergraduate degrees in both Engineering and Economics from the University of Notre Dame and a MBA from the University of Chicago. |
