Bill Brown Channel 6 News Sunrise / Noon Anchor Bill Brown has been an anchor for Channel Six News at Noon since 1984 and has anchored WJAC-TV's early morning news broadcasts since their inception in 1985. Bill has seen "News at Sunrise" grow from a 30-minute newscast beginning at 6:30 AM, to today's two-hour broadcast each weekday between 5-7AM. Bill has also served as a general assignment and feature reporter at WJAC-TV, and has filled in as a sports reporter/anchor on occasion. He has also written and produced nearly a dozen news and sports half-hour specials. Bill is a graduate of Penn State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Broadcast Journalism. Prior to starting at WJAC, Bill worked for the Latrobe Bulletin and Greensburg Tribune Review newspapers, winning three statewide sports writing awards and one Keystone Press Award for news writing. Bill is married to wife, Kathy. They have a daughter, Abby. The Browns make their home in Ligonier. |
