One of the initial members of the Democracy Data & Communications (DDC) team, Bill Bertles has played a key role in DDC's development from upstart company to the industry leader in providing public affairs solutions. As Senior Vice President of Business Development, Bertles has helped mold DDC's offering to keep pace with the challenging and ever-changing demands of public affairs. Not only does Bertles take the lead in initiating new business, but he also works with clients to evaluate their short- and long-term goals and how those goals can best be met. With Bertles's guidance, DDC has been able to provide its clients with an unprecedented degree of innovation and flexibility, and has stayed ahead of the curve in developing new industry-leading technology solutions. Bertles began his career in 1989 as a marketing representative for Cali Communications, a Capitol Hill direct mail firm. Soon after, he joined Aristotle International and was able to gain a vast knowledge of political campaign software and voter file databases. During his tenure at Aristotle, the company grew from 11 to 62 employees over a seven-year period. Bertles joined DDC in 1997, and has since led DDC's marketing team and played an integral part in the company's overall growth. Bertles graduated from Washington College in Chestertown , Maryland , with a B.S. in Political Science. He and his wife Amy reside in Alexandria , Virginia with their two children. |
