Bill Austin joined Doug Hauck as one of the original founders of Austin/Hauck Co., Inc. in April 2001. Mr. Austin had been shopping with Doug Hauck for nearly 15 years and developed a close friendship with him through the clothing business and running together in long distance training and running events for charity. With a background in Marketing, Advertising and General Business, Mr. Austin had no formal training or experience in the men's clothing business but decided to join Doug Hauck in the new store venture because of his love of "the cloth" and his friendship with Mr. Hauck. Since the store opening on Thanksgiving Day 2001, Mr. Austin has gained a great deal of knowledge about the men's clothing business. This new experience combined with his past marketing and general business experience has created a balance of skill sets with master clothier Doug Hauck.
