Bill DeMuth began his career at SureWest in 1976 and thereafter held various positions with increasing responsibility. In addition to his current responsibilities in strategic planning and business development, DeMuth focuses on assessing new technologies and overseeing corporate technology initiatives.

He serves on the United States Telecom Association's engineering committee, is a member of the Board of Directors for ATIS, a technical planning and standards development organization, and is a member of the Board of Directors for the Placer County Child Abuse Prevention Council. DeMuth holds a master’s degree in telecommunications management from Golden Gate University and a bachelor’s degree in engineering technology from California State Polytechnic University.
