Ms. Trevillion is focused on all public relations, marketing and communications activities on behalf of Sterling Planet, its customers and partners. She was the third employee to join Sterling Planet, shortly after the two founders launched the company in 2000. During the formative years and beyond, Ms. Trevillion has put to work her extensive communications experience from both utility and financial services companies. Formerly a senior public relations analyst for Southern Company, one of the world s largest investor-owned electric utilities, Ms. Trevillion served as chief editor for the company s flagship management publication and employee newspaper. She also contributed writing for executive speeches, feature articles on both complex and human interest topics, and an array of position papers. Later, as communications director for Equifax, one of the nation s top three credit reporting agencies, Ms. Trevillion again crafted speeches for the president and chief executive officer, also managing employee communications programs. A freelance writer for a variety of Fortune 500 companies, Ms. Trevillion has included among her clients Coca-Cola, Home Depot, BellSouth, Duke Energy, United Parcel Service (UPS) and her former employers in the electric utility industry, where she served a total of 16 years in various corporate communications roles. For her writing, editing and other communications skills, Ms. Trevillion has earned numerous awards from the Public Relations Society of America and the International Association of Business Communicators, including several IABC Gold Quills that bestow top honors. |
