Betsy Hanlon is currently CIG’S Vice President of Finance. Betsy is responsible for the financial management and integrity of CIG and its operating companies. Betsy began her work with CIG in October 2006, when she became the Controller of one of its companies, Sotheby's Institute of Art New York, and she assumed her current role in February 2007.Prior to joining CIG, Betsy spent six years as a financial consultant to start-up companies and small businesses. Before turning to consulting, she held a number of financial positions with area companies, including serving as Chief Financial Officer for PerImmune Inc., a privately held biotech company, and as Treasurer and Controller of Univax Biologics, Inc., a publicly traded biotech company. Betsy began her career in the tax department at Price Waterhouse in Philadelphia. Betsy has served for several years as a volunteer with Montgomery Hospice. She also provides financial management services to the Dunstan Wai Memorial Educational Foundation, which offers scholarships to girls in the Sudan. Betsy holds an M.B.A. from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a BA in Philosophy from The College of William and Mary and she is a Certified Public Accountant. Betsy and her husband, Bill live in Chevy Chase, Maryland. They have two children, Will and Clare. |
