Current responsibility
Bethany is a consulting actuary with the Boston office of Milliman. She joined the firm in 2003.
Experience
Bethany has more than 15 years experience in the property and casualty insurance industry. Prior to joining Milliman she worked five years for a major insurance carrier in Hartford and six years as a consulting actuary with PricewaterhouseCoopers. Her experience includes loss reserving analyses for all major lines of business, including workers' compensation, general liability, automobile liability, professional liability, and mortgage guaranty insurance. Her experience also includes evaluation of self-insurance funding levels for hospital programs, large commercial and municipality programs, and due diligence for mergers and acquisitions.
Currently, Bethany is dedicated to the development and support of Milliman's property and casualty loss analysis solutions, including ReservePro®, ReservePro Enterprise, Professional Affinity, and Trianglemaker. These are the leading solutions of their type for actuarial, risk management, and insurance finance professionals, with installations at more than 400 locations throughout the world. Her specialized knowledge has been relied upon for the design of all new system functionality. She also provides services to clients with regards to product customization, training, and implementation and consults on best practices regarding optimal work processes within actuarial reserving departments.
