Bert Newman is a Senior Consultant for PivotHealth, LLC, a physician practice management company based in Brentwood, Tennessee.
Newman has more than twenty-five years of experience in health management, including experience in home health care, home infusion therapy and medical practice management. In each of these fields he created, built and managed privately-owned companies that were innovative and ground-breaking in their respective specialties.
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE
Co-founded and managed one of the original medical management companies, providing total business management for primary care, specialist, and multi-specialty groups. Services included practice formation, licensing/permitting, office management/procedures, insurance billing systems, MIS systems, and various fiduciary services including investments.
Directed and managed the formation of several medical practices ranging from sole practitioners to multi-specialty groups, including medical laboratories and other related ancillary services.
Founded, built and managed one of the first health delivery companies specializing in infusion therapy, pharmaceutical supervision and nursing services in an out-patient setting. This mode of therapy and its related system of delivery for various pharmacological prescriptions proved to be cost effective and provided measurable definitive health benefits.
