Bernd Prasuhn's career development is based on several years of Marketing experience in the fast moving consumer goods business and almost 15 years of successful consultancy in the Executive Search industry.
Dr. Prasuhn began his career in Marketing at Proctor & Gamble, where he held various positions in the laundry and cleaning division. At the beginning of the 80's, he moved to Beiersdorf in Hamburg where he was responsible for a variety of product lines, countries and regions, primarily in international marketing in the cosmetic division. In his final role he was responsible for the Beiersdorf subsidiaries in Central Europe.
In the mid - '80's, Dr. Prasuhn moved into the Executive Search Industry, joining Heidrick & Struggles Germany. Through the ranks of Associate up to Principal and Partner he ultimately assumed management responsibility for the Düsseldorf office at the end of the 80's.
In 1991, Dr. Prasuhn became Managing Partner at Ward Howell Germany, continuing to develop his consulting expertise and career. In 1996, he was elected Regional Speaker - Europe/Africa and in 1998 as Chairman of the Board of the worldwide Ward Howell group. Under his guidance, the group successfully mastered the rebranding transition to its current label, Signium International.
In recognition of his work, Dr. Prasuhn was unanimously elected as the first Chairman of the new Signium International Inc., by the worldwide partnership, a title he held until October 2006. He remains a Director on the Board and continues to contribute to the growth of Signium.
Dr. Prasuhn graduated from the University of Kiel, lived for several years in the U.S.A. and France and held lectureships at the Universities of Georgetown, Harvard and Stanford and the Institut Francaises des Relationes Internationales. His doctorate thesis was on the subject of international relations. |
