Bernard Puckett has been a member of the Board of Directors since 2004. He is Chairman of the Board of Openwave Systems, Inc., a global leader of open IP-based communication infrastructure software and applications for the wireless communications industry. Mr. Puckett has extensive experience in developing and directing corporate strategy, and in assessing the growth potential of business opportunities for a broad range of industries.
Previously, Mr. Puckett was President and CEO of Mobile Telecommunications Technologies (MTEL). Mr. Puckett had worked for IBM Corporation for over 25 years, most recently as Senior Vice President of Strategy and Business Development. Throughout his career with IBM, Mr. Puckett held key positions in sales and marketing, technology management, finance, and management.
Mr. Puckett has been actively involved as an investor, director and owner of several public and private companies during the past several years. He has served on the Board of Directors of a number of Fortune 500 companies. Currently he serves on the board of IMS and Openwave Systems. Mr. Puckett is a graduate of the University of Mississippi, where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics. |
