Bernard Kasriel was Chief Executive Officer of Lafarge from 2003 to 2005. Prior to his current position, he was Vice-Chairman Chief Operating Officer between 1989 and 2003 and Chief Operating Officer from 1995 to 2003 and Chief Operating Officer between 1989 and 1995. He served as Senior Executive Vice-President from 1982 to 1989, President and Chief Operating Officer of National Gypsum in Dallas, Texas, from 1987 to 1989 and held various executive positions within the Group since he joined Lafarge in 1977.
From 1975 to 1977, he served as Senior Executive Vice-President of the Société Phocéenne de Métallurgie, and from 1972 to 1974 he served as Chief Executive Officer of Braud. Mr. Kasriel began his career in 1970 at the Institut du Développement Industriel.
He is Vice-Chairman of Lafarge in North America. and holds various executive positions in the subsidiaries of Lafarge.
His term of office expires at the General Meeting approving financial statements for financial year ended 2009.
Mr. Kasriel is a Director of L’Oréal (France), Sonocco Products Company, Arkema and Nucor. He has been a member of the board of directors of LBO France since September 2006.
