Bernard Freibaum is Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of General Growth Properties, Inc. He is responsible for all company financial matters including debt and equity financing, capital markets, structuring and negotiating joint ventures, acquisitions and dispositions, accounting, tax and SEC reporting.
Freibaum joined General Growth in 1993. Prior to that he accumulated twenty years of diverse experience in the real estate industry including key management positions and equity stakes at Stein & Company, where he was general counsel/chief financial officer, and American Invsco Corp., where he was senior vice president/finance. He also held real estate consulting posts at both Ernst & Young, LLP and PricewaterhouseCoopers LLC.
Freibaum, both a CPA and an attorney, received his B.S. in Accounting from the University of Illinois at Urbana. He also has a masters degree from DePaul University and a Juris Doctor degree from DePaul College of Law. |
