Bernard J Haddigan is the managing director for Marcus & Millichap’s National Retail Group (NRG), a division of the company focused exclusively on the brokering of retail investment properties. In 2006 the 325 brokers under his leadership in the NRG closed more than 2,000 single- and multi-tenant properties nationally, valued in excess of $6.1 billion. Mr. Haddigan has been responsible for establishing Marcus & Millichap's presence in the eastern United States. During his 24-year career with the firm he was a senior broker as well as a senior manager on both coasts where he managed more than $3 billion in investment real estate transactions. Mr. Haddigan is an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and is a member of ICSC’s Open Air Committee. He is regularly called upon by the organization to participate in its regional and national idea exchange and trade shows. For the past 10 years, he has facilitated and hosted the Marcus & Millichap’s Retail Trends Conference at the ICSC Spring Convention, drawing more than 1,000 investors to the event. He is also a full member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI). His expertise in retail and investment real estate trends is often quoted by national, regional and local publications, including The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, National Real Estate Investor, Real Estate Forum, Business Week, Barron’s, Shopping Center Business, Retail Traffic and Commercial Property News. In addition to his responsibilities with the NRG, Mr. Haddigan serves as a managing director and senior vice president of Marcus & Millichap, and shares responsibilities as the national director for the Net Leased Properties Group (NLPG). Mr. Haddigan graduated from DePaul University with a Bachelor of Science degree in finance. |
