Bernard F. "Bud" Mathaisel is an E2open board and audit committee member.
Background:He was previously senior vice president and chief information officer of Solectron, a world leading provider of contract electronics manufacturing services. This included overseeing the information technologies for engineering, product data management, manufacturing, materials management, repair and service operations, marketing, finance and human resource management. Solectron was a CIO 100 award honoree in 2002 for enterprise integration and received an Information Week 500 Award as one of the leading IT innovators. At Solectron, in addition to his role as CIO, he served as the Market Account Executive for one of Solectron's largest global accounts and was globally responsible for all facilities operations, environmental health and safety and business continuity. He is also on the board and audit committee of Packeteer, a global leader in packet shaping technology.
Previously, Mathaisel was the chief information officer of Ford Motor Company in Dearborn, Michigan, where he had worldwide responsibility for IT, e-commerce and the company's process-leadership group, which ensured that the IT infrastructure was seamlessly integrated into Ford's business strategy and processes. Ford was a CIO 100 award honoree in nine of the eleven years through 1999.
Prior to Ford, he was a national partner at Ernst & Young, for which he founded and directed their Center for Business Innovation in Boston, Massachusetts. He was the first CIO for the new management team at The Walt Disney Company.
Board Positions:Mathaisel is a member of the advisory board for CIO Magazine. He is on the technical advisory boards of several VCs focused on high tech.
