Benoît Chéreau is chief executive officer of WorldSpace’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Worldspace Europe, based in Paris. In this capacity, Mr. Chéreau is responsible for all aspects of the company’s European strategic planning, operations, and management. Prior to joining WorldSpace, Mr. Chéreau served as deputy CEO in charge of technology for Groupe Canal +. Earlier in his career, he worked for Bouygues Telecom in a variety of positions including Director of Telecom Development and Deputy CEO in charge of marketing and sales. His accomplishments during his sixteen years with Bouygues include leading the effort to obtain the third cellular license in France and expanding the business from initial launch to six million subscribers. Mr. Chéreau is a graduate engineer of Ecole Polytechnique in Paris and holds an MBA from Harvard Business School. |
