The 2006 season marks Benny Greenberg’s 41st year of affiliation with the Cardinals as the team’s video director.
In 2001, Greenberg was an instrumental cog in the transition from videotape to digital practice and game footage.
A St. Louis native who spent his entire life in the Gateway City before the Cardinals’ move to Arizona in 1988, Greenberg owned and operated photography stores until the team’s move to Arizona in addition to his film and video duties with the Cardinals that include videotaping games and practices.
Greenberg also worked as a cameraman for St. Louis television stations, positions he held concurrently with part-time work for the Cardinals that began in 1966. He joined the Cards on a full-time basis in 1970.
He studied mechanical engineering at Washington University in St. Louis for three years in the 1940s.
Greenberg and his wife, Bebe, reside in Scottsdale, AZ. They have two sons, Mark and Barry, and four grandchildren. |
