Mr. Lau holds a B.Soc.Sc degree from the University of Hong Kong. He is a fellow member of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants and of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants. He completed the Wharton Advanced Management Program in 2000.
Mr. Lau is responsible for the financial control within the Scheme of Control business. He worked for Coopers & Lybrand and Government audit department before he joined CLP Power Hong Kong in 1988. He had held various financial management positions in the Group, including financial reporting, treasury, financial planning and budgeting control. He was Group Finance Manager of CLP Holdings prior to being appointed as Financial Controller of CLP Power Hong Kong in 2001. He was appointed to his present position in November 2005.
