Dr. Maniscalco received his Medical Degree from Duke University School of Medicine and Residences and Fellowship in Cardiovascular Diseases from Emory University affiliate Hospitals in 1975. He was an Assistant Professor of Medicine (Cardiology) at the University of South Florida College of Medicine. He co-founded St. Joseph’s Heart Institute in Tampa, Florida and was Director of Cardiovascular Services from 1979 to 1997. He established a large multi specialty cardiovascular group practice beginning in 1997. Over the years, he has been a member of numerous local, state and national professional societies. He has served as President and Governor of the Florida Chapter of the American College of Cardiology and has been involved in numerous committees dealing with socioeconomic and medical policies in the American College of Cardiology and the Society for Cardiac Angiography and Interventions. He is a frequent lecturer at local, state and national levels, on clinical and non-clinical matters affecting delivery of cardiovascular services. He pioneered some of the first observational studies on treatments for Calcifying Nanoparticles. |
