Ben Wolkov is an associate in McDermott Will & Emery LLP's Miami office. Ben has experience working on various domestic and international corporate and transactional matters. He is part of the Corporate Department and a member of the Firm's Mergers and Acquisitions Practice Group.
Ben has experience working on cross-border acquisitions and financings between the United States and various jurisdictions in Latin America (e.g. Mexico and Brazil). In 2005, he spent a year working as an international legal associate for a prominent domestic corporate law firms in Mexico City. Ben's practice entails the servicing of U.S. and Latin American clientele with respect to their cross-border transactional needs.
In addition to his geographical experience, Ben has sectoral experience within the infrastructure sector. He has worked closely with developers and financiers in respect of the construction, development and financing of large-scale infrastructure projects in the U.S. and Latin America (e.g. power plants and toll-roads). Ben has also represented bidders, buyers and sellers of infrastructure assets (including asset portfolios).
While attending the University of Miami School of Law, Ben was the Writing and Research Editor of the University of Miami Law Review.
Ben is admitted to practice in Florida with an admission pending to the bar in Washington, D.C.
