Ben Fitzpatrick is based in Houston, Texas, supporting a number of Shell Chemicals global key customers as a Global Customer Manager. He is accountable for coordinating activities across all Shell Chemicals businesses and functions in order to serve these strategic customers. The position also serves as a focal point for these customers with other companies within the Shell Group. He is also responsible for facilitating the identification and development of potential strategic customers in emerging markets. Ben is a Washington, DC native who joined Shell following experience in R&D for the US Department of Transportation and chemical manufacturing in the DC area. After joining Shell in 1975, he held operations, logistics and economics management positions at Shell manufacturing locations in the early part of his career. He also worked on the development of technology and business strategies prior to becoming the US business manager for the major Epoxy Resins and Bisphenol A. Following globalisation of the Chemicals business by Shell, he was appointed as Americas Business Manager: Phenol & BPA. Prior to his current role, Ben was the Global Business Manager for Phenol/Acetone and Nonene. Ben holds a Chemical Engineering Degree from the University of Maryland and is married with four children. |
