Behrooz Najafi has served as Vice President, Information Technology since joining the PDL BioPharma mVice President Information Technologyanagement team in July 2003. He previously served as Vice President, Corporate Services and Global IT at Exelixis, Inc. from 1999-2003. There, he built a successful information technology management team and infrastructure, and managed corporate services, supporting worldwide corporate growth of more than threefold. Before joining Exelixis, Mr. Najafi served seven years as Senior Director of Information Technology at Sugen, building an information management services organization and structure that supported the organization’s growth from a small, private start-up to a publicly traded company that was later acquired by Pharmacia. From 1984 to 1993, Mr. Najafi held various IT management positions at Advanced Cardiovascular Systems, Inc., now known as Guidant Corporation, a medical devices company affiliated with Eli Lilly and Company. Mr. Najafi holds a bachelor’s degree and studied mathematics at the University of Washington.
