Becki grew up in rural Eastern Montana. She graduated from Montana State University School of Architecture in 1997. She worked for A&E Architects in Billings, MT before moving to Seattle, Washington where she was employed by Zimmer, Gunsal, and Frasca. Her focus, in her early years, was large-scale commercial architecture. In 2000, she took a sabbatical from city life to restore her family barn in Glendive and travel abroad to Budapest, Hungary to work on an adaptive reuse project. After arriving back she returned to Bozeman and worked for Bayliss Architects. In 2003, Legends Studio, Inc. opened its doors. Technology has allowed Becki to split her time between her home office in Gildford, in northern Montana, and the main office in Bozeman. She has recently designed and built her own home. This construction experience has only added to her understanding of materials, details and construction methods. |
