As the company's Chief Technology Officer, Baxter E. Vieux, Ph.D., PE provides leadership, expertise and vision for Vieux, Inc. Dr. Vieux is a full Professor at the University of Oklahoma where he has performed research, taught and published since 1990. He is Director of the Natural Hazards and Disasters Research Center and the University has recognized him as a Presidential Professor. Dr. Vieux is the author of over 100 publications including books chapters on GIS and radar applications. His research monograph, Distributed Hydrologic Modeling Using GIS, published by Kluwer Academic Press, Water Science Technology Series, is a leading text in the field of hydrology. Prior to his academic career, Dr. Vieux was project engineer for a major flood control project and acting state engineer in Michigan responsible for water resources, flood control, and water quality projects with the USDA. |
