Bas joined Mirus in 2002 and was promoted to Principal in 2006. He has worked on several dozen client transactions and engagements during his tenure with the firm, focusing primarily on clients in software, business services, online media and industrial products. Bas also provides leadership for Mirus’ growing Valuation Practice, from managing Valuation seminars and online webinars, to publishing articles on various valuation topics.Prior to joining Mirus, Bas was an associate with McKinsey & Company in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, and was a member of its Corporate Finance & Strategy Practice. During his tenure at McKinsey, Bas worked with the senior management teams of leading European and Asian companies to provide market analysis for acquisitions and divestitures, perform company and project valuations, and to advise and structure joint ventures and strategic alliances. Bas graduated with a Master of Science degree in Financial Econometrics from Erasmus University in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. He became a Charted Financial Analyst in 2004. He also holds Series 7 and 63 certifications from the FINRA.Bas lives in Brookline with his wife and son. His interests include skiing, traveling, sailing, fine dining and playing pool. |
