Bart Penfold serves as Executive Vice President in the firm’s San Francisco office. He has more than 23 years of experience, both as a CEO and in working with CEOs and Executive Management teams to develop and implement market strategies for sustained growth. Mr. Penfold specializes in helping employers recognize and respond to the unique challenges inherent in managing an aging workforce, including succession planning, acquisition, and retention of key executive talent. He has worked across the spectrum of corporate profiles, producing successful outcomes for Fortune 100, middle-market, and early-stage companies. In addition, he has supervised multi-million dollar programs for industry-leading clients including Merck, CBS, J&J, General Motors, Searle, American Express, Blue Cross, Prudential, Baxter, Monsanto, Bank of the West, and Newell Rubbermaid. Prior to joining DHR International, Mr. Penfold was a partner at Rusher, Loscavio & LoPresto, a boutique executive retained search firm. As President of their Growth & Leadership practice, he managed senior level assignments in the fields of healthcare and life sciences technology, financial services, and consumer packaged goods. Mr. Penfold’s previous positions include: President of The Alliance of Chief Executives, a leadership firm providing strategic and peer support to CEOs; CEO of CareGuide, the nation’s first eldercare management company with integrated web and telephonic support; and Founder & CEO of Age Wave IMPACT, America’s premier marketing, research and communications firm specializing in baby boomer and older adult markets. Previously, Mr. Penfold was President/General Manager of HSN, the first interactive and accredited distance learning service for healthcare professionals. He also held several executive management positions within Bergen Brunswig Corp. Mr. Penfold began his career as an Elementary Education Instructor. He is a graduate of California Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo, and holds a K-8 California Teaching Credential. Mr. Penfold is also actively involved in the Association for Corporate Growth, American Society of Aging, and the Business Forum on Aging. |
