As president of Great White Shark Enterprises, a multi-national corporation founded by Greg Norman in 1993, Bart Collins manages the diverse business enterprise of the man who has developed as strong a reputation for business as he has for golf. Collins administers Norman’s business interests in the areas of golf course design, residential development, turfgrass development and distribution, golf events, golf equipment and apparel distribution, merchandising and licensing.
Having worked in some capacity with Norman since 1987, Collins was retained full time by the company in 1995, and initially served as International Vice President based in Sydney, Australia, overseeing GWSE’s interests in the Asia-Pacific region. In 1997, Collins moved to his current post in Jupiter, Fla.
Prior to joining Great White Shark Enterprises, he spent 12 years with the sports conglomerate International Management Group. Fresh out of college in 1983, Collins rose rapidly within the organization to become one of IMG’s youngest vice presidents. In 1993, the then-31-year-old Collins established and managed IMG’s operation in Southeast Asia from offices in Singapore. His responsibilities in the region included the creation of recreational real estate services, events, television and client management. Norman, who at the time was an IMG client, was among the athletes Collins represented in Australia.
A native of Cleveland, Ohio, Collins is a 1983 graduate of Wittenberg University, and now resides in North Palm Beach, Fla., with his wife Margaret and their children Sydney, Matt and Charlie.
