Dr. Asner serves as CEO and member of the board of directors for Monarch HealthCare, an IPA model medical group providing care to 175,000 commercial and senior HMO members. He is currently a Board Member and was the past Chairman of the California Association of Physician Groups (CAPG). Board certified in pediatrics, he was in pediatric practice from 1979 to 1997 and was president of Southern Orange County Pediatric Associates. In addition to his distinguished professional affiliations, Dr. Asner is a member and Treasurer of the Board of Directors of the Integrated Healthcare Association (IHA), a statewide policy group that brings together the top decision makers from the major sectors of the health care industry. Dr. Asner is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a member of the American College of Physician Executives. He is a much sought after speaker on issues concerning health care delivery in a managed care model. |
