Mr. de Bie has been with Prospect since August 2004. At Prospect, Mr. de Bie focuses on originating and monitoring mezzanine finance and control buyout investments for the firm. Mr. de Bie is a Board Member of NRG Manufacturing, a Prospect portfolio company, and he acts as Prospect’s Board Observer for other such companies. Mr. de Bie manages Prospect investments in oilfield services, metal fabrication, offshore supply vessel services, oil and gas production, and other sectors.
Prior to joining Prospect, Mr. de Bie spent seven years as an investment banker, primarily focused on energy industry clients. From 2003 into 2004, Mr. de Bie was a director at Cenatar Advisory Group, an advisory boutique providing capital formation and advisory services to various management teams and companies in the utility, renewable power and energy technology sectors. Mr. de Bie spent 1997 through 2002 as an investment banker with JPMorganChase. Most of Mr. de Bie’s time with JPMC was spent in the Mergers & Acquisitions group where he advised clients as they completed acquisitions, divestitures and other transformational transactions. While in the M&A Group, Mr. de Bie worked with clients across a range of industries, including energy. Mr. de Bie also spent time in JPMC’s Power Investment Banking group where he advised clients on M&A assignments as well as public and private debt and equity offerings. Clients included electric and gas utilities, integrated natural gas companies and developers of energy technology.
Mr. de Bie graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a BA in Economics. Subsequently Mr. de Bie received his JD from the George Washington University Law School. Mr. de Bie has been admitted to the New York Bar and has completed the NASD Series 24, 63 and 7 exams. |
