Bart C. Shuldman is chairman, president and chief executive officer of TransAct Technologies Incorporated, in Wallingford, CT (NASDAQ: TACT). He joined Magnetec Corporation, a subsidiary of Tridex Corporation, in April 1994 and served as president from August 1994 until December 1995 when he was appointed group president of printer operations.
In August 1996, he led an initial public offering (IPO) of the printer operations and was named president and CEO of TransAct, the newly formed publicly traded company in August 1996, and elected chairman of the board in Feb. 2001.
Prior to joining TransAct, he held several management positions with Mars Electronics International, a division of Mars Incorporated. Prior to that, he held manufacturing and sales management positions with General Electric Company. Mr. Shuldman has a B.S. in electrical engineering and an MBA.
TransAct Technologies Incorporated designs, develops, manufacturers and markets transaction based printers and related consumables, spare parts and service. Its printers are used world-wide to provide receipts, tickets, coupons, register journals and other documents. TransAct's printers are primarily sold into two large/growing vertical markets; point-of-sale and banking, and the gaming and lottery market.
Mr. Shuldman is a member of the Board of Visitors, College of Engineering and Ward College of Technology, University of Hartford. He is also a board member of the Fairchester Chapter of YPO (Young President's Organization). |
