Bart A. Speziali is Sun National Bank’s Senior Lending Officer and an Executive Vice President. He oversees the Business and Commercial Banking Divisions for the bank’s Southern Region, which serves Camden, Burlington, Gloucester, Salem, Cumberland, Atlantic and Cape May counties in New Jersey, as well as Philadelphia and New Castle County, DE. Additionally, Mr. Speziali oversees Construction Lending for the bank’s entire footprint.
Sun’s Business Banking Division serves business customers with revenues up to $7.5 million and credit needs up to $2 million, providing small business deposit products, loans, equipment leasing and other specialized small business banking products and services. The Commercial Banking Division serves corporate, government and institutional banking customers with revenues over $7.5 million and credit needs of more than $2 million. This division offers customized deposit products, commercial and construction lending, cash management with Remote Deposit and other related products and services.
Mr. Speziali brings more than 30 years of lending and senior banking management experience to his position with Sun. He joined the bank in 1992 as a Senior Lending Officer and Senior Vice President. Prior to joining Sun, he was with Security Savings Bank, SLA, in Vineland, NJ, where he served as Senior Vice President of Commercial Loans and was responsible for business development, origination of commercial loans and commercial mortgages, servicing lines of credit for large accounts, and managing a team of regional lending officers.
He also previously served as Vice President of the Mortgage Division and Vice President of the Installment Loan Department for Security Savings & Loan Association, also in Vineland. Here, he restructured both divisions, substantially increasing volume. He briefly served as Executive Vice President for Multi-Service Corporation, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Security Savings & Loan Association, where he was involved in the real estate development and establishing joint venture relationships with regional developers and contractors.
He held the position of Director of Financial Services for the American Institute for Mental Studies (AIMS), responsible for managing all functions of the business office, negotiating contracts, preparing budgets, overseeing the purchasing department and reporting directly to the AIMS Board of Trustees. Mr. Speziali began his banking career with Citizens United Bank, N.A., in Vineland in the Commercial Loan and Mortgage Departments, and was successfully promoted through the ranks holding such positions as Credit Manager, Loan Officer and Secretary to the Loan Committee, and Assistant Vice President-Commercial Loan Department.
Mr. Speziali earned a bachelor of science in Accounting from Farleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck, NJ, and is a graduate of the Central Atlantic School of Commercial Lending, part of Bucknell University, in Lewisburg, PA. Past President of the Cumberland Cape Atlantic YMCA. He also serves on the Neighborhood Empowerment Council on Housing for the City of Vineland. He is a Trustee for the Southern New Jersey Development Council (SNJDC) and a member of their Economic Development Committee. He also serves as Treasurer and a member of the Board of Directors of United Way of Atlantic County, and is a member of the Center City Vineland Redevelopment Plan Advisory Committee. Additionally, Mr. Speziali is a Trustee of the Quinton Sportsmen's Club and has served as past President of the Exchange Club of Vineland and past Treasurer of the Tiny Tim Foundation. |
