Barry Smith currently serves as Merkle's Chief Information Officer. In this role, Smith focuses on leading and building a technical infrastructure that includes technical support, corporate applications and database administration to accelerate the development of our global technical infrastructure, improve solution delivery and drive operational excellence for Merkle. Smith is also a member of the operations business executive team.
Barry Smith brings nearly 15 years of experience in all aspects of technology management. Smith's career includes Big Six consulting (Coopers & Lybrand), Fortune 500 IT management (Marriott International), a Silicon Valley startup (NetDynamics now a Sun subdivision) as well as building an nationally recognized, award-winning IT department at the City of Gaithersburg, Maryland.
Smith graduated from Purdue University with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Technology and holds an MBA from The George Washington University with a custom concentration in Technology Product Management and Entrepreneurship. |
