Barry Schneider provides management support to hospitals in Alaska, Arizona, California, Nevada, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Oregon, Utah and Wyoming. He joined CHS in July 1998 as a Group Project Director before being appointed as a hospital CEO. In 2004, he was named Assistant Vice President, Group Operations, managing hospitals in Arizona, California, New Mexico, Utah and Wyoming. In 2005, he received a title change to Vice President, Group Operations.
Prior to joining CHS, Schneider had over 25 years of hospital management experience, both in CEO positions and in multiple facility management positions. During that time, he held positions with Humana, National Medical Enterprises, Summit Medical Management, and Columbia-HCA, with responsibilities for hospitals located in Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Missouri, Tennessee, and Texas.
