Barry Persky is the founder of Barry Persky & Company, an executive search firm recognized as a leader in the recruitment of senior executives and managers for industry worldwide. He is responsible for managing the firm's day-to-day operations and ensuring the delivery of the firm's services, solutions and support that bring value to its client base. He also participates in the company's business development, marketing, and alliance relationships. Since launching the firm in 1971, Mr. Persky has served a broad range of clients from pre-IPO start-ups to Fortune 500 corporations. As suppliers or users of technically advanced equipment and systems for industrial processes, power generation and goods and services, his clients retained his firm to fill positions critical to their ability to achieve technical and commercial success in their respective markets. Leading a team of recruitment professionals over the years, all former senior operating managers in the industries they serve, Mr. Persky has managed executive searches for clients such as Alstom Power, Babcock Power, FuelCell Energy, NRG Energy, New York Power Authority, ConEd, Mid-West Generation, and Black & Veatch. Mr. Persky's career in personnel search and selection began as New York Director of Operations for Sales Consultants, a subsidiary of Management Recruiters International (MRI), now one of the world's largest personnel recruitment organizations. He also held a similar position in the Chicago headquarters of Sales Recruiters, an executive search subsidiary of MRI. Mr. Persky has a bachelor's degree in English literature from Brooklyn College of the City University of New York and is a member of the International Association of Professional and Corporate Recruiters.
