Barry Hanover brings more than 20 years of technical and business management experience to TMS. Most recently, Mr. Hanover served as vice president of surgery engineering and chief technologist for GE-OEC Medical Systems, a wholly owned subsidiary of GE Medical Systems. Prior to its acquisition by GE in 1999, OEC Medical Systems was a world market leader in high performance digital intraoperative/interventional x-ray imaging systems. As OEC’s executive vice president and chief technical officer, Mr. Hanover was responsible for its multidisciplinary product development team.
Prior to joining OEC, Mr. Hanover was vice president of technical development and a member of the Board of Directors of Sarcos, Incorporated. Sarcos was founded in 1988 to develop a wide variety of products, including drug delivery and robotic systems. Mr. Hanover was also responsible during this same period, as General Manager of Animate Systems, Inc., a division of Sarcos, Inc., for the initial start-up of a manufacturing facility that successfully delivered the humanoid robots for the key attractions at EuroDisneyland.
Mr. Hanover received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Tufts University and a Masters of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Utah. Mr. Hanover is listed as an inventor on 20 U.S. Patents in the fields of drug delivery systems, dialysis systems, and x-ray imaging apparatus. |
