Barry X Lynn is the president and CEO of Be eXceL management, inc. and director/general partner of Shoreline Venture Management. Be eXceL is currently focused on management consulting for early stage technology companies and Shoreline Ventures is a venture capital firm, investing primarily in early stage opportunities. Prior to founding Be eXceL, Barry was with Wells Fargo for 16 years, his last position being the president of Wells Fargo Technology Services. Previously, he served as the chief information officer (CIO) of Wells Fargo & Co. where he implemented the first enterprise-wide network, which was completely based on Internet technology. He changed the bank to an open architecture, which became highly touted as the best in banking by most in the industry. As a result, the time to market decreased by an order of magnitude. Before that, Barry ran Wells Fargo's Private Banking Operations and their Investment Operations. He founded and became the first president of Wells Fargo Securities and was named one of the ten hottest and most influential CIO's in the nation by the prestigious Future Banker magazine. Barry now serves as chairman of Callixa and 3TERA; director of Alacritech and Layer 7 Technologies; and advisor to Primitive Logic, Eurekify and Certagon; and, principal of Where Eagles Soar. |
