Barry Ryan joined the firm in 1985 and has a broad civil and criminal trial practice, including both plaintiff and defense matters, with a specialty in civil rights litigation. He has been retained by a major insurance carrier to defend civil rights claims against law enforcement officers from a number of Western Massachusetts municipalities and counties. Between college and law school, he played professional hockey for the Springfield Indians of the American Hockey League, and he remains active in senior leagues and youth instructional programs. He is actively involved in Dartmouth alumni activities and is a member of the Springfield Lodge of Elks and the East Longmeadow Knights of Columbus. He lives with his wife and three daughters in Wilbraham. |
