Barry A. Munitz is trustee professor,California State University, Los Angeles, 2006 present. He is the former chancellor of the California State University and the former president of The J. Paul Getty Trust in Los Angeles. Dr. Munitz was chair of the American Council on Education and vice chair of the National Commission on the Cost of Higher Education. He currently serves as a fellow, the American Academy of Arts and Sciences; director, Leeds Equity Partners Advisory Board, Broad Foundation, and Cotsen Family Foundation.
