Barbara Dalibard was named president and CEO of Equant in August 2005. She remains France Telecom Group Executive vice president in charge of the Enterprise Communication Services Division.
Barbara Dalibard's extended leadership contributes to the implementation of the NExT program a three-year strategic program launched by France Telecom on June 29 2005. The combined strengths of Equant and France Telecom seek to create the leading global communication services provider for enterprise customers by leveraging a unique offer based on outstanding customer service innovation and operational excellence and supported by a unified brand to be rolled out in early 2006. Together these two businesses represent revenues of over 7 billion Euros providing services in 220 countries and territories and with 18 000 employees.
Previously Barbara served as executive vice president of the Corporate Solutions Division from January 2003 until March 2004.
Returning to France Telecom from Alcanet she became director of Business Markets for Orange France and vice president of Orange Business in 2001.
In 1998 Barbara was chairman of Alcanet International S.A.S. a subsidiary of the Alcatel Group then joined Alcatel CIT as commercial director for new operators before becoming sales director for France.
She began her career with France Telecom S.A. in 1982 holding various commercial sales management positions.
Barbara Dalibard is on the list of Fortune 50 Most Powerful Women in Business 2005. She is a graduate of the Ecole normale supérieure a qualified math teacher and a graduate of the Ecole nationale supérieure des télécommunications. |
