Barbara Strickler offers more than 30 years of experience in higher education, working in admissions, financial aid, marketing, and student services. She currently consults for Noel-Levitz from her position as vice president for enrollment at The University of Tampa (FL). Ms. Strickler has helped The University of Tampa reach several milestones. During her 11-year tenure, undergraduate enrollment tripled from 1400 to 4600 students. Revenues increased by $90 million in that same time period. Ms. Strickler’s efforts helped raise the student profile and lower the discount rate. She was a major contributor to the creation of the school’s Web site as well. She currently supervises the university’s undergraduate admissions, financial aid, registrar, and the School of Continuing Studies (Evening College and Summer Sessions).
Ms. Strickler’s previous positions have given her a wealth of enrollment management experience. She served as vice president for enrollment management at Cedar Crest College (PA), where her marketing strategies helped the school become the fastest growing women’s college in the United States. As dean of admissions at Seton Hill College (PA), she doubled freshman enrollment in three years. She has traveled extensively and has international recruitment and student services experience, serving as dean of students at Regent’s College in the United Kingdom.
Publications, awards, and education: Ms. Strickler has written and presented extensively on admissions and financial aid topics. Her marketing and admissions efforts have garnered awards from Admissions Marketing Report and the National Admissions Advertising Awards. Ms. Strickler holds an M.B.A. from Rockford College (IL). |
